Our story about olive oil began in 1992. At that time, the Lisjak family opened their first oil mill, which was one of the first oil mills in Istria.
With the year 2023, the story developed a step further. We launched our new Gregor Lisjak brand. It is a brand of boutique extra virgin olive oil produced by Gregor Lisjak and his wife Barbara.
Our estate includes different olive tree varieties. Many steps are important to achieve the highest quality. Our olive groves are mainly located in the Krkavče area, and we also have two groves in Lucan above Portorož.
Right at the end of September or at the beginning of October, depending on each year, we start harvesting. Olives are processed to the highest standards in our own oil mill immediately, just a few hours after harvesting. Then we filter the oil and store it in our cellar in 1000-liter barrels, which are at just the right temperature and under food grade argon so that the oil is not in contact with oxygen, thus significantly prolonging its highest quality.
The investment in our farm is partly funded by the EU and RS.

Extra virgin olive oil brand
In 2009 the family has started with their first serious extra virgin olive oil brand. Thanks to Gregor Lisjak, who was the head of sales, the brand has fast developed in to the leading Slovenian brand of extra virgin olive oil.

Olive mill in the village Krkavče
In 2011 we have opened our olive mill in Krkavče, bringing to the Slovenian Istria one of the most modern technologies for pressing olives.
